Nicola Coppinger is a Partner, Law Society Family Law Advanced Accredited Specialist Member (finances and domestic abuse), and she is a collaborative lawyer. Nicola is also Head of the Family Law Team.
Nicola has developed vast experience in representing clients in all aspects of family law cases including divorce, separation, cohabitation cases, private law children proceedings and domestic violence. During her career Nicola has focused on developing her expertise in financial cases and particularly enjoys this area of work. Her accreditation as a Law Society Specialist in financial cases demonstrates Nicola’s high level of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in this area.
She is also a member of Resolution which is an organisation for family solicitors (www.resolution.org.uk). Nicola adheres to the Resolution’s Code of Practice when representing clients which assists Nicola in delivering an excellent service to her clients.

Background
Nicola graduated from Leeds University in 2001 with a 2:1 Law Degree (LLB) and she went on to obtain a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course at The College of Law in York in 2002. Nicola then trained in Halifax as a Solicitor where she worked for four years, before returning to Wakefield. She joined King Street Solicitors LLP in 2010.
Nicola became a partner at King Street Solicitors LLP in 2011 and amongst her management roles she deals with client care and management of complaints.
Nicola is also the Compliance Officer for Legal Practice with responsibility for managing risk and compliance with the firm.
