We are still open and here for you
We are now over 2 months into this pandemic and so called “lockdown”. I am pleased that at least we seem to be coming out of it and we can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. Many of you may have been putting off doing things which you had previously planned. These could include making a new Will and/or a Lasting Power of Attorney.
I am still working, as normal, Monday to Thursday. I normally go into the office every day except Wednesday. Here at King Street Solicitors we pride ourselves on providing a very personal service with high levels of client satisfaction. This has not changed.
As one of the only accredited members of Solicitors for the Elderly in Wakefield, I specialize in acting for the older client (including vulnerable ones, such as those diagnosed with dementia). More information on the services provided by my department can be found at: https://www.kingstreetsolicitors.co.uk/wills-probate/meet-our-wills-and-probate-team/
I, personally, can still offer appointments in the office (but only if the appointment cannot be conducted remotely and within strict Covid safety guidelines) , at home (in the garden – weather dependent!), or over the phone (including video calls). If you do need to come into the office (strictly by appointment only), then we have implemented a comprehensive and strict protocol to ensure that you and all our staff are kept safe.
With regards to Lasting Powers of Attorney, at least one face to face appointment will normally be required. Face to face appointments are not normally required for Wills (depending upon the circumstances), but you do require 2 witnesses if you are unable to come into the office.
So, remember that old adage “don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today”.
If you are at all unsure about whether your circumstances would allow you to make a new Will and/or Lasting Power of Attorney, please either call me 01924 332395 or e:mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org for a free initial no obligation chat.
