It is a sad fact that many charities are suffering badly during this pandemic. They are facing the double-whammy of plummeting incomes (due in a large part to the drying up of events such as sponsored runs and coffee mornings), and increased demand for their services (due to the obvious economic and social impact of COVID-19).
It is for this reason that we have decided to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society, an amazing organization, with a local office based straight opposite our own office on King Street, Wakefield. The staff there are incredibly friendly and they provide amazing support for people living with dementia. At these difficult times, many people living with dementia are at a higher risk of isolation and distress.
We have decided to donate £10 to the Alzheimer’s Society for each new Will instruction before the end of May (limited to the first 25 instructions).
We are still very much open for business but operating within safe Government guidelines. Most of our services, including Wills, can be provided remotely, without the necessity of having to physically come intoour office. If you would like any further information on Wills, or any of other services, including Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and family law, please telephone 01924 332395 or email me at ag@kingstreetsolicitors.co.uk
