Rebecca Shenton

Rebecca graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2008 having completed her Law Degree and Legal Practice Course. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 2012, having worked for 4 years prior to qualification in the field of Family and Child Care Law.

Rebecca is an accredited member of the Law Society Children Law Scheme, meaning that her high level of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in the area of children law has been demonstrated to the satisfaction of the Law Society. She is also a Resolution accredited Family Law specialist, she has recently held the position of Chair of the Board of Trustees for a leading West Yorkshire based Domestic Abuse support organisation and continues to work closely with the organization.

Rebecca has dedicated her career to the area of Children Law and represents parties and children both in care proceedings and within private proceedings between parents or family members. Within care proceedings she specialises in advising parents, children, family members or other proposed carers.

Rebecca also has a keen interest in the area of Domestic Abuse and continues to work to raise awareness of the area within the legal profession and further afield. She specialises in supporting victims of Domestic Abuse and thrives working with a range of organisations to support clients in difficult circumstances
