Lasting Powers of Attorney let you give a suitable person (such as a spouse, partner, friend or relative) authority to deal with your property and affairs if you are no longer able to deal with them yourself.
Lasting Powers of Attorney can also deal with welfare and health issues
Many people find increased peace of mind knowing that their affairs can be dealt with properly if they have a stroke or start to suffer from dementia. We often act for people in the very early stages of memory loss who wish to make a Lasting Power.
Sue Wittrick has a particular interest and experience in advising clients and their families dealing with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia both through preparation of Powers of Attorney and, where appropriate, making applications for the Appointment of Deputies. |

We can arrange home visits where appropriate – please call or email for more information regarding power of attorney.
Appointment of a Deputy
When someone no longer has capacity to deal with their affairs (and does not have a Lasting Power or Enduring Power of Attorney) we can still help relatives by making an application for a relative to be appointed as a “Deputy” and deal with their relative’s finances.
